Frequently Asked Questions
At Rexterior Roofing, we know that home improvement projects can bring up a lot of questions. We’re here to give you straight answers.
How do I know if I need a new roof?
If your shingle roof is over 15-20 years old, it’s a good idea to have it inspected. Some signs you might need a new roof include:
- Curling or missing shingles
- Leaks or water stains on your ceilings or walls
- Granules from shingles piling up in your gutters
- Sagging or soft spots on the roof
Rexterior Roofing would be happy to upgrade your roof to a more durable metal roof. Still not sure? We offer free inspections to check things out for you.
How much does a new roof cost?
The cost depends on a few things such as roof size, complexity, and any repairs needed. Every home is different, but we provide detailed, upfront quotes so you know exactly what to expect. No surprise fees, no nonsense.
How long does roof replacement take?
Most residential roof replacements take one to two days, depending on the size of the job and weather conditions. We work efficiently without cutting corners, so you get quality results fast.
Will my homeowner’s insurance cover a new roof?
If your roof was damaged by storms, hail, or other covered events, your homeowner’s insurance may help pay for a replacement. We can Insurance Claims Assistance to make it as easy as possible for you.
Do you offer warranties?
Yes! We stand by our work. Here’s what you get:
- Manufacturer’s Warranty: Covers defective roofing materials.
- Rexterior’s Workmanship Warranty: Covers issues caused by installation errors. Get more information.
That means if something goes wrong due to a mistake on our end, we’ll fix it at no cost to you for the duration of your warranty.
What types of roofing do you install?
We specialize in metal roofing, offering durable, high-quality options to match your home’s style and budget.
How do I know if my siding needs to be repaired or replaced?
Signs of siding damage include warping, cracks, dents, or areas where moisture is seeping through. If you notice peeling paint inside your home or increased energy bills, it may be time for an inspection. We can assess the condition of your siding and recommend the best course of action.
How long does aluminum siding last?
With proper installation and maintenance, aluminum siding can last 40 years or more. It resists rust and corrosion, and its baked-on finish helps it withstand the elements better than many other materials.
Do you handle gutters too?
Absolutely. We install custom seamless gutters, gutter guards, soffit, and fascia to keep your home protected from water damage. See our page on gutters for more information.
What should I do to prepare for roof installation?
We take care of most of the work, but here are a few things you can do:
- Move cars away from the house.
- Secure fragile items inside, as roof work can cause some vibrations.
- Keep pets inside (or in a quiet area) since roof work can be noisy.
What if I just need a repair instead of a full replacement?
We do those too! Whether it’s a leak, missing shingles, or storm damage, we’ll assess the problem and give you honest recommendations on the best fix.
Do you clean up after the job is done?
Yes! We take cleanup seriously. Our crew uses magnets and thorough sweeps to pick up nails and debris, ensuring your yard, driveway, and surrounding areas are as clean as possible. However, while we do our absolute best, we can’t guarantee that every single nail will be caught. If you find any stray nails, let us know, and we’ll take care of it. Your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities!
Are you hiring?
